Astros Rally to Nose Past Texas
|
In a tight tilt between the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers, Vince McSweeney was the deciding factor. The Houston left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Jesús Mejía notched his 7th save of the season. Houston is now 19-27, Texas 25-23.
Houston used the timely hitting of Art Morrison to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Astros on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Morrison told the Houston Daily.
