In a low-scoring contest between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Baltimore Orioles, 25-year old right-handed pitcher Eric Cartwright proved to be the difference. The Tampa Bay right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Rays win. The win was credited to 25-year old right-handed pitcher Héctor Saldaña in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Jung-ho Chang took the loss. The losing streak for Baltimore has now reached 4 games.

Tampa Bay got a knockout punch from Eric Cox. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Cox said.
