Blue Jays Lose to Yankees, 8-7
|
The New York Yankees dealt the Toronto Blue Jays a loss at Yankee Stadium. The final score was 8-7. Milton Ramos was especially productive for New York. In addition to his 3 singles and 1 triple, he scored 2 runs and drove in 1. The win lifted the New York record to 24-24.
New York second baseman Bob MacKerchar helped the Yankees go up, 8-7, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, MacKerchar hit a run-scoring single off Toronto pitcher Max Pearson.
"We got the victory," said MacKerchar. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
