Left-hander Donnie Ellis mesmerized the Chicago White Sox while leading the Seattle Mariners to a 6-0 victory. The second-place Mariners sport a record of 25-22.
Ellis's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 7 strikeouts in 8.2 innings while allowing 4 hits. Ellis, who is tied for 9th in the AL in quality starts with 6, goes to 4-5 on the year with 49 strikeouts.
