The Boston Red Sox marched over the Baltimore Orioles, 12-2, at Fenway Park. Patrick Vitzhum led the charge. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Anthony Rizzo had a big bases-clearing double for the Red Sox in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Boston leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from Hector Jimenez, who led the AL in wins with 18 last year, and swatted a double to right. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Red Sox ahead, 6-2.
