Mariners Lose to Astros, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Houston Astros and the Seattle Mariners, former first round draft pick Greg Connolly proved to be the difference. The Houston right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Astros win. Houston is now 21-31, Seattle 27-24.
Making an impact for Houston was right fielder Lane Thomas. He drilled a double off Eric Wilkerson in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Thomas was 2 for 4 with a double.
Thomas said his team "played with focus."
