The Tampa Bay (VSL) Rays picked up a win at VSL Rays Complex, topping the Philadelphia (VSL) Phillies, 8-2. On the mound for Tampa Bay (VSL) was right-hander Raúl Fernández. He played a principal role in the triumph. Tomás Lugo locked down his 1st save. The Rays have now won 4 straight.

Juan López had a big bases-clearing triple for the Rays in the bottom of the eighth inning. With Tampa Bay (VSL) leading 5-2 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from Caden Moore and swatted a triple to left. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rays ahead, 8-2.
