Diamondbacks Get 3-2 Win Versus Colorado
|
The Arizona Diamondbacks picked up a win at Chase Field, dropping the Colorado Rockies, 3-2. Raúl Morán, who finished 4th in the NL in wins with 15 in 2024, was the difference-maker. Jorge Gonzáles finished to wrap up his 14th save. Arizona has now won 3 straight, while the Rockies have lost 3 in a row.
José Silva had a big run-scoring double for the Diamondbacks in the bottom of the third inning. With Arizona leading 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he got a fastball from Rory Turner, who is tied for 7th in the NL in quality starts with 7, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Diamondbacks ahead, 2-0.
"Raúl was dictating to their hitters," said Arizona manager Jake Mauer.
