Reds Take Down Mets, 4-3
|
The Cincinnati Reds wiggled past the New York Mets, 4-3, at Citi Field. The win was highlighted by the performance of Cincinnati pitcher Walt Sharpe. Cincinnati has run its win streak to 4 consecutive.
Dana Jones had a direct impact on the outcome. Jones contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 12th inning to put Cincinnati up, 4-3.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Cincinnati skipper Kevin Cash. "I can't complain."
