Wrigley Field was the site of a competitive game between the Chicago Cubs and Colorado Rockies.

Colorado right fielder Sergio Martínez was instrumental in helping the Rockies triumph, 4-2, over the Chicago Cubs. Martínez was 4-5 with a triple and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Rory Turner, the winner, improved to 6-4. He held Chicago to 2 runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. Dave Kirkpatrick sewed up the save, his 4th.

Colorado grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Martínez hit a 2-run triple off Jose Paulino. His 1st triple of the season put the Rockies out in front, 3-1.

"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Martínez told the Colorado Chronicle.

With the win, Colorado pushed its record to 30-25.
