Rays 4-1 Victors Over Oakland

Tampa Bay got a strong outing from Kevin Murray as the Rays defeated the Oakland Athletics, 4-1, at Tropicana Field. Murray yielded 1 run over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 6-3. Joe Montgomery was credited with the save for Tampa Bay, his 13th of the season.
Osvaldo Leme had a big run-scoring double for the Rays in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Tampa Bay leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a changeup from 39-year old left-handed pitcher Hyun-jin Ryu and swatted a double to center. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rays ahead, 2-0.
"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Murray.
The Tampa Bay winning streak has reached 3 games.
