Roa Delivers Walk-Off Win for Angels
The Los Angeles Angels electrified the home crowd with a walk-off win.

Milwaukee got a decent performance from pitcher Joe Ross, but it wasn't enough to beat the Los Angeles Angels. Los Angeles won the Angel Stadium of Anaheim contest, 5-4. Ross threw 7.0 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. Los Angeles reliever Ron Oliver snagged the win, upping his record to 3-1. Ed Gaines shouldered the loss.

The decisive blow was delivered by Luis Roa in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 26-year old left-handed pitcher Ed Gaines to win the game for Los Angeles. The home crowd went nuts.

"We'll kick back a while," said Roa, "and then get ready for the next one."

The Angels saw their record improve to 28-31.
