At an age when many of his peers are still toiling in the minor leagues, Jim Christensen was on the biggest stage of all.

The 22-year-old rookie shortstop was terrific at Centene Stadium with a stirring hitting performance. Christensen hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 6 in a fireworks-filled, 19-2 Ogden Raptors win over the Great Falls Voyagers. The win gives the Raptors a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 Round 2.

In the top of the first, Christensen pounced on a 2-0 slider from Cedric Smith and hit a 3-run home run. It put Ogden on top, 3-0.

"It kind of got out of hand on us there," said losing manager Morgan Ensberg.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Centene Stadium in Great Falls.
