The Boston Red Sox topped the Baltimore Orioles, 4-3, at Fenway Park. Boston designated hitter Bo Dawson was a spark plug for the offense. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Boston reliever Terence McCray picked up the win, upping his record to 3-4. Norbert Padgett absorbed the loss. Boston is now 29-31, while Baltimore is 27-34.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Boston shortstop Christian Arroyo, facing Norbert Padgett, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Red Sox the 4-3 win.

Said Dawson: "It's just one win, but it feels like more when you outlast a tough opponent."
