Boston Advances to League Championship Series
All playoffs end with joy on one side and despair on the other. Today, the Boston Red Sox are the ones feeling overwhelmed with excitement, and the Kansas City Royals are the ones thinking about what they could have done differently.

The Red Sox took a 5-1 victory at Kauffman Stadium today, which gave Boston a 3-1 series win.

With the win, Boston will advance to play in the League Championship Series.

"We aren't ready to go home yet," said Red Sox left fielder Jim Williamson, who was named series MVP.

The Boston Red Sox don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Los Angeles Angels - Toronto Blue Jays series. Los Angeles leads the series 2 games to 1. The League Championship Series is scheduled to begin on October 11th , 2025.
