The Washington Nationals started the League Divisional Series in style, winning on the road against the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park by a score of 5-3 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Nationals shortstop Lucius Fox Jr. excelled. He was 2-3 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
In the top of the ninth, with the game tied, the Brewers allowed the Nationals to take a 4-3 lead on a base hit and Milwaukee error.
