Combs, Red Sox Wallop Angels in Game 6 of LCS
The Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Angels will take the League Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Red Sox beat the Angels, 6-1, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Boston catcher Dan Combs went 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Combs delivered big-time for Boston, stroking a dramatic grand slam home run off Ron Oliver. The game-changing hit put the Red Sox on top, 5-1.

Boston manager Alvin Morman commended his team for "banging out a nice win."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Angel Stadium of Anaheim in Anaheim.
