The skies opened up and the rain fell at Yankee Stadium.

A 3-RBI performance from Israel Ávila, who finished 2nd in the AL in doubles with 43 in 2021, helped the New York Yankees beat the Boston Red Sox, 11-4. Nate Brown notched his 7th save in 11 chances.

Oscar Price contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the first. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 2-run single. His at-bat helped New York get the win.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Price said.

After today's action, New York sits at 25-37; Boston slips to 38-26.
