The Idaho Falls Chukars powered past the hometown Helena Brewers, 3-1, in the opener of the Round 2 at Kindrick Legion Field. Idaho Falls starting pitcher César García threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Chukars now lead the series 1-0.

García, who was born in Kansas City, Missouri, threw 117 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing 1 run.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said García.
