Los Angeles turned a good performance from starting pitcher McKenzie Mills into a 4-0 triumph over the Houston Astros at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The win went to Kevin Phillips in relief, making him now 2-1. Arturo Flores took the loss for Houston. The last-place Astros have dropped 6 straight games.

Los Angeles took a 2-0 lead on Augusto Ramírez's 16th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Ramírez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Houston pitcher Kevin Jenkins visibly frustrated.

Afterward, Houston manager Mike Napoli said: "We were guessing wrong on pitches, and that's something we've got to get away from."
