The San Francisco Giants handed the Milwaukee Brewers an extra-inning, 6-4 defeat at Miller Park. Right Fielder Ron Jones starred for San Francisco. He belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Juan Sánchez. With the win, San Francisco goes to 28-35, while the Brewers fall to 34-30.
San Francisco used the timely hitting of Joey Gallo to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Giants on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Gallo.
