WL played host to WL at the friendly confines of Monsters Stadium.

The WL Angels got a magnificent performance from pitcher Derrek McGriff, who muffled the WL offense en route to a tight 2-1 Angels win at Monsters Stadium. Reliever Héctor Rosado picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Dave Auclair took the loss.

K.J. Woods was the walk-off hero for WL. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Angels left fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"I liked his command," said WL manager Joe Allen. "Derrek was throwing strikes."

This win makes it 5 in a row for WL.
