Astros Get One-Run Win at Los Angeles
|
The Houston Astros took Los Angeles pitcher Marc Collins's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The final score had Houston getting past the Angels, 3-2. Collins went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 3. The victory puts Houston at 25-40.
Claude Spears, who is tied for 5th in the AL in triples with 3, helped out the Houston cause in the top of the sixth inning with a 2-run home run. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Los Angeles skipper Mike Scioscia.
