The Cincinnati Reds defeated the St. Louis Cardinals, 7-6, at Busch Stadium. Blake Anderson, who is tied for 5th in the NL with a .869 OPS, was a standout performer for Cincinnati. His 4 hits included 1 single and 3 doubles -- this in addition to the 1 run he scored and 1 he knocked in. The Reds now have a record of 34-31 with the win over St. Louis.

Cincinnati used the hitting of Jeff Adams to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Reds on top, 7-5. For the game, Adams had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
