Blue Jays Top Reds to Even Record

WL got a strong outing from Jose Nova as the Blue Jays defeated the WL Reds, 3-1, at Brown Bears Ballpark. Nova went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 4, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-3. Chet Greene recorded his 6th save for WL.
The Blue Jays got a big at-bat from left fielder Tomás Martínez. For the game, Martínez went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the seventh, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave WL a 3-1 lead.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Martínez told the WL Today.
WL is now riding a 4-game win streak.
