WL Mets starter Kevin Reed was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the WL Twins, 7-2. The winning pitcher was Reed, now 1-2. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 4. Earning his 4th save for WL was Juan Rodríguez.

The Mets got a lift from designated hitter Charlie Armstrong who had a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning off Moises Gomez. It was his 2nd walk of the season and put WL in front, 1-0.

"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Armstrong.

At 12-8, the Mets have a slim two-game lead in the League 2 East Division.
