WL Reds starter César Rodríguez was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the WL Brewers, 2-1. Jesus Arroyo got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. Earning his 6th save of the year was Robby Davis.
The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Josh Moore came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing WL pitcher Nelson Hernandez, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting WL on top, 2-1.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Moore said.
The Reds have an impressive 15-9 record.
