José Ruíz impressed in the 9-4 Toronto win over New York. Ruíz went 4-4 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The American League East Division-leading Blue Jays have a record of 43-23.

The Yankees had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Blue Jays going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 28-year old third baseman Josh Morgan came to the plate. Morgan hit a run-scoring double on a 2-2 fastball from New York hurler John Gant. It was Morgan's 9th double of the year.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Ruíz.
