					| Seattle Slaps 5-4 Loss on Arizona |
					| Arizona first baseman Johnny McConnell had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. McConnell was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, even as Seattle beat the Diamondbacks, 5-4. Eddie Muggleston earned the save for Seattle. The win lifted the Seattle record to 33-33.
Seattle second baseman Kolten Wong contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a cutter to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 53rd hit of the season and put the Mariners ahead, 5-1.

Seattle manager Jeff Banister praised his team's "businesslike approach."
