Rays Take Down Red Sox, 10-8
The Tampa Bay Rays topped the Boston Red Sox by a score of 10-8. Leading the way was left fielder Joey Bowen. Bowen was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Rays. Cristopher Sanchez, now 1-2, was credited with the win in 1.2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 2 and walking 0. Tony Larkin, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities.

Tampa Bay used the timely hitting of Bobby Davenport to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Rays on top, 9-8. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We played hard and won," said Bowen. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'

The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Rays.
