Milanes goes 3-for-5 in Angels Win
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

Getting offensive support from Jesús Milanes, the Los Angeles Angels topped the Kansas City Royals, 12-6. Milanes went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Angels. The winning pitcher was Rod Swift. He's now 7-4. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits for the Angels.

With Los Angeles leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Milanes hit a fastball from Simon Mercedes for a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Angels ahead, 5-0.

"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Milanes, "but we could've played better."

The win for the Angels lifted their record to 36-35.
