Milwaukee registered a win at Wrigley Field by beating the Chicago Cubs, 4-3. Pitcher Joe Ross was one reason why the Brewers triumphed. Ross yielded 1 run over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8. His record improves to 6-3. Ed Gaines recorded the save, making him 13 for 17.

Milwaukee used the timely hitting of Luis Herta to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Brewers on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"My job is to go out and execute," said Ross.
