The Chicago Cubs topped the Toronto Blue Jays, 13-12, in 12 innings. Chicago second baseman Franklin Barreto, in particular, was impressive. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The 4th-place Cubs have won 5 straight.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Chicago left fielder Dan Williams, facing Jake Barrett, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Cubs the 13-12 win.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Williams said.
