Jeff Adams powered the Cincinnati Reds to a win over the Chicago Cubs. The final score was 9-1. The Cincinnati catcher was phenomenal. He stroked 4 extra-base hits, including 2 home runs and 2 doubles. The loss drops Chicago to 1-2.

José Juárez had a big bases-clearing triple for the Reds in the bottom of the first inning. With Cincinnati leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from 29-year old right-handed pitcher Mariano Ortega and swatted a triple to right. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Reds ahead, 4-0.
