Cleveland Guardians starter Hector Jimenez turned in a top-notch performance against the Los Angeles Angels at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The result was a win for the Guardians, 2-1. Los Angeles has now lost 4 consecutive games.

Cleveland took a 2-1 lead on Tyrone Taylor's 6th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Taylor hit in the top of the seventh, left Los Angeles pitcher Kevin Phillips visibly frustrated.

"Good ballgame," said Los Angeles manager Mike Scioscia. "But we came up on the short end."
