Sanders Delivers Walk-Off Win for Brewers
Billy Wood was a vital contributor to the 6-5 Milwaukee victory over Washington. The Brewers first baseman was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Milwaukee pitcher Ed Gaines got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Dominic Bingham got the loss. The win gives Milwaukee a record of 1-1.

Steve Sanders was the walk-off hero for Milwaukee. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Brewers pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We couldn't have scripted it any better," Sanders said in his postgame press conference.
