Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Los Angeles Angels and Cleveland Guardians.
The Los Angeles Angels beat the Cleveland Guardians, 4-0, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Isranel Wilson went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The slick-fielding second baseman was a menace to Cleveland all day. With the win, the Angels improved to 39-39.
Los Angeles took a 4-0 lead on Wilson's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Jim Acosta in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Los Angeles to the win.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Los Angeles skipper Mike Scioscia.
