Minnesota and Arizona duked it out and the Twins came out victorious.

Minnesota Twins starter Shawn Cummings was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Arizona Diamondbacks, 6-3. Cummings, the winner, moves to 4-8. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks.

In the top of the 3rd, Minnesota took the lead on a 2-run single by José Jiménez. At the time, the Twins were trailing 2-1, but Jiménez's hit with two outs against Arizona pitcher Raúl Morán put them in front, 3-2.

"We had situations where we should have got some runs in, but we didn't get the runs in," said losing manager Jake Mauer.

With the win, Minnesota raised its record to 42-37.
