Minnesota Beats Milwaukee, 5-0
|
The Minnesota Twins downed the Milwaukee Brewers, 5-0, at Target Field. Starring for Minnesota was pitcher Adys Portillo. Portillo got the win, improving to 6-3. He gave up 4 hits and walked 0 over 6.2 innings. He allowed no runs. Earning his 1st save for Minnesota was Dave Weaver.
Magneuris Sierra was 1-3. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Minnesota. The 29-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jose Berrios. It was his 19th RBI of the season.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Doug Dascenzo.
Minnesota now sits at 37-41, while Milwaukee falls to 39-40.
