Brewers Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Reds, 7-5
The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Cincinnati Reds, 7-5, at Great American Ball Park. Milwaukee center fielder Jorge Gutiérrez had a superb performance. He went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. The winner was Dave McFadden in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Jesús Rodríguez took the loss. The save went to Ed Gaines, his 25th this season.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Gutiérrez delivered big-time for Milwaukee, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Doug Hall. The game-changing hit put the Brewers on top, 6-5.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Gutiérrez told the Milwaukee Times.

Milwaukee is now 45-32, Cincinnati 40-38.
