Reds Absorb 10-2 Home Loss
|
Colorado Rockies starter Josh Riddle turned in an exceptional performance against the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park, resulting in a Colorado win, 10-2. Riddle, now 4-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. Colorado's record now stands at 49-47, placing them 4th in the National League West Division.
Colorado used the hitting of Franklin Reyes to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Rockies on top, 9-0. For the game, Reyes had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"What a debacle," groaned Cincinnati manager Julio Vinas in postgame remarks.
