The Arizona Diamondbacks got a magnificent effort from pitcher Pancho Escobar, who kept Houston hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Diamondbacks win at Chase Field. Arizona has run its win streak to 5 in a row.

José Silva, who is tied for 8th in the NL with a .879 OPS, took Houston hurler Elroy Smith deep in the bottom of the seventh. His solo home run put the Diamondbacks on top, 2-1. In all, Silva had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
