The Detroit Tigers beat the Minnesota Twins, 7-1. Detroit pitcher and Brooklyn, New York, native Jon Dwight led the way. Dwight got the win, improving to 8-3. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. The 4th-place Twins have dropped 5 straight games.
