The Houston Astros picked up a win at Fenway Park, knocking off the Boston Red Sox, 10-8. Starting pitcher Kevin Rogers played a key role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was Rogers, now 8-8. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 6. The win has Houston at 48-70.

The Astros got a big hit from first baseman Starlin Castro. Facing Boston pitcher Carlos Perez in the top of the seventh, Castro pounded a grand slam home run to right. His 7th home run of the season put the Astros ahead, 9-1.

"Kevin was really attacking guys' weaknesses and he didn't leave a lot of balls over the plate," said Houston field general Mike Napoli.
