A 6-RBI performance from Steve McGuire, who is tied for 9th in the AL in RBI with 72, helped the Houston Astros beat the Boston Red Sox, 10-4. The Astros raised their record to 47-74.

Starlin Castro hit a run-scoring double off Ted Burton in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Astros in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Castro had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," McGuire told the Houston Daily. "It's as simple as that."
