Tigers Need Extra Innings to Top Guardians, 8-7
The Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Guardians played into extra innings before the winner was determined. The Tigers won it, 8-7, in 10 innings. In the game, Detroit first baseman Dan Bradley went 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Detroit pitcher Curt Nance got the win, upping his record to 3-2. Chasen Shreve got the loss. Detroit is now 78-44, 11 games up in the American League Central Division.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Bradley hit a fastball from Chasen Shreve for a run-scoring double. The Tigers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It was a test of wills," said Robert Carson, the Detroit skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
