Tellez Homers Twice in 7-0 Rockies Win
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Colorado Rockies and Washington Nationals.

Due in large part to designated hitter Rowdy Tellez, the Colorado Rockies sunk the Washington Nationals, 7-0. Tellez went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. John Gant, who is a two-time All-Star, was the winner. He's now 6-12. The loser was Kirk Griffith. Don Younger, credited with the save, is now 3 for 4 in save opportunities.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ron Faulkner? The Colorado center fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Rockies on top, 3-0. For the game, Faulkner had 2 doubles and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"It was a good team win. Everybody threw something in," Faulkner told the Colorado Gazette.
