Cleveland got a terrific game from left fielder Vladimir Guerrero Jr.. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Oakland, 7-6. Guerrero Jr. went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The victory puts Oakland at 54-79.

The Athletics got a big at-bat from shortstop Ramon Beltre. For the game, Beltre went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 10th double of the season gave Oakland a 7-6 lead.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Beltre.
