Ramírez goes 3-for-6 to Power Angels Offense
Angels left fielder Augusto Ramírez put his stamp on his team's 13-6 win over the New York Yankees. Ramírez went 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 4 times and drove in 4 for Los Angeles in the contest. Fred Cove got the win, improving to 7-2. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 4 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Los Angeles is now 64-68, New York 64-70.

Luis Roa had a big 2-run triple for the Angels in the top of the third inning. With Los Angeles leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Adys Portillo, who finished 5th in the AL in innings pitched with 189.1 in 2018, and swatted a triple to center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Angels ahead, 5-0.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Los Angeles skipper Mike Scioscia.
