Los Angeles first baseman Jurickson Profar contributed significantly to his team's 10-6 win over the Houston Astros. Profar, who finished 5th in the NL in runs with 120 in 2021, went 3 for 5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Angels. Derek Henderson snagged the win in relief. He goes to 6-1 on the season. Greg Connolly suffered the loss. Los Angeles is now 90-44, 19½ games up in the American League West Division.

Addison Russell had a big 2-run home run for the Angels in the top of the first inning. With Los Angeles leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a changeup from Greg Connolly, who is tied for 5th in the AL in complete games with 1, and punished it. The result was his 13th home run of the season, which put the Angels on top, 3-0.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Russell told the Los Angeles Observer.
