Orioles Win, Ramos has 4 hits
|
The Baltimore Orioles stymied the San Francisco Giants, 7-1, at AT&T Park. Alfredo Ramos had a good day at the plate. He was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for Baltimore. Norbert Padgett went 6.1 innings for Baltimore to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 1 run. He scattered 5 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 7. His record improves to 6-7. The Orioles are now 70-66.
Baltimore used a clutch at-bat from Jon Wilson to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Orioles ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"You need to show up when your number's called," said Ramos.
